UNDERSTAND WHY BESTSELLERS ARE BESTSELLERS
If you have a lot of products, ask this: what are your bestsellers? Take this a step further by asking the reason behind why people end up buying these items.
Since we’re working with a brand that has hundreds of SKUs, we wanted to focus our efforts on those that bring in the highest share of the business.
Once we’ve identified the bestsellers, we asked ourselves, why are people buying this product? What are their motivations for wanting to buy this?
The answer to this will help us create ads that will appeal to the emotions and the needs of our target market. This way, we already capture their attention, interest, or curiosity.
STEP 2 ———
USE A STRONG PROMO
shopee as a marketplace caters to the deal-hunting market. once you understand why your bestsellers are bought and loved, create an ad accompanied by a promo that nobody can resist.
Now that you know how to position your product, what you need to finish the equation is a very strong promo.
Since we are catering to those that buy on Shopee (which is a deal-hunting platform), we want to convince our target market that we give the best value and that they don’t want to miss it.
Different brands and audiences react differently to various promos. It’s essential that you test which promo works the best for you (freebies, free shipping, direct discounts, bundle deals).
Pair your ad with an irresistible promo and you dominate the market.

SCALE AND REPEAT
find other products that are similar to your bestsellers. you can also look at your middle-moving items. follow step 2 for testing and scale the ads that are working.
For every campaign and ad we put out, we look at the performance it generated. For ads, the most important key metric is the ROAS (return on ad spend).
